The middle copy stays with the servicing dealer where the oil and equipment were bought, and the bottom copy is retained by the purchaser. If a failure occurs during the extended warranty period, the equipment is taken back to the servicing dealer who then files a warranty with Interlube instead of the engine manufacturer.
